106 Series Models

Referred to as military models, this series was designed to provide same grip angles and feel of the Colt military model 1911. This design was introduced in 1965 and continued through most of 1968. The design utilized the tooling of the 104 series guns which resulted in the occasional appearance of a bullet shaped brass design in the rear grip strap when the spring hole was not properly plugged. This design appears as both a full bullet shape or only the outline . There is no premium for this feature. The magazines in this series have a red plastic bottom. The right side of the frame is marked MILITARY. During the production of this series the accessories were deleted in lieu of a price increase. This resulted in two catalog numbers for each model. The serial number ranges are best estimates as of the revision date.

Like the 104 series Supermatic Trophy with the new military frame. Stippled front and back straps on frame. 9245 and 9246 are the early models with accessories. 9247 and 9248 are the later models without accessories
