HIGH STANDARD PISTOLS
Lever Letter Models
Third design models made which incorporate interchangeable barrels with a lever takedown. The.22 caliber guns evolved from the model G .380, High Standards first production removable barrel gun. Like the letter models with external hammers these .22 caliber models still used letters to designate the various models. New to this series was the adjustable Davis sight. Also introduced in this series was a breach face shrouded by the slide. The serial number ranges are best estimates as of the revision date.
G-.380
A .380 caliber semiautomatic pistol with a 5" barrel and 6-shot magazine. Blues with checkered plastic grips. Fixed sights. Introduced Septemner1947; discontinued late1950; approximately 7,400 made. High Standard’s only production center fire pistol. In a serial number of its own but a few examples exist in the regular serial number range around 328,161 - 329,430.

Similar characteristics with the Model B but with interchangeable 4.50" or 6.75" barrels. Sold with either barrel or as a combination with both barrels. Fixed sights. Blued with monogrammed plastic grips. Last short frame model produced. Introduced May 1949; discontinued November 1950; approximately 15,000 produced.

OLYMPIC commonly called "G-O"
New gun design for competitive shooting in .22 short caliber. 4.50" or 6.75" barrels. Sold with either barrel or as a combination with both barrels. Grooved front and back straps on frame. Adjustable sights. Blued with checkered thumb rest walnut grips. Introduced September 1949; discontinued late1950; approximately 1,200 produced. . The earliest Olympics utilize a curved magazine with a straight back and later versions uses the curved magazine with a hump on the back.
